Here we are again January 1st. Another year has gone and another one has begun. If you were keeping up with the news last year there were many things people were not happy about. Many of those things were so detrimental to people who families and friends relationships were strained.
Many of these hurt feelings could still be around this new year. It is hard to let go when someone has hurt you, but it is important. It is important to remember what is most important…family and the relationships that will last.
Seeking and accepting forgiveness is not easy or comfortable, but this is why we need to live in humility.
1 Peter 5:5 – Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
Ephesians 4:2-3 – Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
So on this day of new beginnings seek to let go of hurts and forgive those who have hurt you. So that this year will be a time of growth and rebuilding. Let the Holy Spirit lead you as you humble yourself and bring unity or strengthen the unity in your relationships and in the Body of Christ.
2 Chronicles 7:14 – if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
God Bless in this new year!
